Dr Nicole Knight is a Research Fellow within the Smart Water Research Facility at Griffith University, conducting research into disinfection by-product formation in drinking water. She previously worked in forensic toxicology after attaining her PhD in bioinorganic chemistry from the University of Queensland. Her research interests include environmental chemistry/toxicology, metalloprotein electrochemistry, drinking water quality and disinfection by-products.

Nitrosamine and trihalomethanes formation in South-east Queensland drinking water Wastewater effluent

Wastewater ecotoxicology

Future Research Interests
Disinfection by-products associated with desalination
Identification of organic precursors to disinfection by-products of health concern
Micropollutants in alternative water sources including recycled water
