Dr Vicki Ross is a research fellow at Smart Water Research Centre. She completed her PhD in social psychology at the University of Queensland. Her research examined the effect of trust in authorities on public acceptance of recycled water, and involved developing a social psychological model of the characteristics and drivers of trust and acceptance. This research was conducted in conjunction with CSIRO, Queensland EPA, local councils and several water authorities in Australia. Vicki has also undertaken social research for government and worked in communications for the Queensland Water Commission. She is currently undertaking research which examines how risk communication can be enhanced between scientists, policy-makers and managers of recycled water.
